Finding JT DiMara
Ah, Jacob Tyler DiMara.
What can I say about this kid except for the fact that he MAY be my favorite character I've ever written (Ryan holds a special place, and of course, Ty, but this kid definitely stole my heart).
If you've read books 1 and 2, you know who JT DiMara is and you know that he has been through it. Orphaned by the age of 15, anger and abandonment issues, and don't even get me started on that mouth of his.
But JT is so much more than that.
Yes, he's a pain in the ass, but he also has a heart of gold and would go to war for those he loves. The problem is finding those he loves, as JT doesn't feel he is worthy of being loved.
He's the kid who's a loner. He's the kid who shares too much too fast and always wrecks his relationships. He's the kid who hates having to explain his sexuality to people and constantly having them respond with, "It's no big deal." He's the kid who desperately wants a connection with someone else, but who knows his anger issues cause him to hurt people. He's the kid who thinks he's stupid because he's been able to skate by academically his whole life without anyone realizing that he has a learning disability.
He's the kid who's about to have his world absolutely ROCKED by his 18-year old teammate, Ryker McCreery, and his 33-year-old English tutor, Audrey Winston.
This book will have its moments of sadness/hurt, but it will also have its moments of triumph and happiness as you watch JT discover who exactly he was meant to be.
Also, you will get to see Ryan and Ty in their 40's, and honestly, this might be my favorite part of writing this book, next to JT himself.
This book concludes the Once Upon a Time in Bridgeport series.

“For that moment, he didn’t have to obsess over the fact that, having been orphaned at the age of 15, then sent away and shoved into an intensive hockey program with little time for anything else, he effectively had no clue who the hell he even was.”
Twenty-year-old Jacob Tyler DiMara’s list of struggles is a mile long: anger and abandonment issues, guilt over his parents’ deaths, academic inadequacy, social and legal issues, and uncertainty about his sexuality, to name a few.
Despite all that, one area in which he’s never struggled is being an elite hockey defenseman. After barely making it through juniors due to several legal troubles, JT enters into Penn State University’s NCAA D1 hockey program as an academic redshirt, where he’s determined not to let anyone get too close.
What’s the point when everyone he loves only ends up dead or hurt?
Through unexpected bonds with his polar opposite teammate/roommate and his much older female English tutor, he’s been given the chance to learn what it means to love and be loved unconditionally.
Will JT let down his walls and form new connections that might finally allow him to find himself, or will he run like he always does?
This is the conclusion to CH Maddington’s Once Upon a Time in Bridgeport hockey series.
